The carla secondhand shops of Caritas have been reuse hubs for decades, providing social as well as ecological benefits: We help disadvantaged people to get (back) into the labour market, allow for CO2 savings by prolonging a products´ lifespan and create climate-friendly and affordable consumption options.

Approximately 1 million items get donated, sorted, assessed and set up for reuse within the carlas in Vienna every year: Whether it is a pair of jeans, a watch, a book, speakers, chairs for your dining table, a piano, even a car or everything in between, you can donate it to or purchase it at one of our stores. That way we are turning objects that are no longer used by their owners into valuable contributions to the local labor market, the budget of people with lower incomes, the environment´s health and happy new owners.
